Success in Glossop

mustache1

Both ACT I and ACT II rounded off their one-act play tours by going to Glossop for the Partington Festival. Despite the very hot conditions that caused some moustache malfunctions, we came away with some well deserved prizes.    Eloise Regan won the Partington Theatre Trophy for the best youth actress. Alex Swinton was awarded a certificate for Best Supporting Youth actor. Certificates of Merit were given to Nick Dawson, Luke Holland & Charlotte Conway for their roles as the ‘Vikings’. Both Adam Swinton & Naaman Carr were nominated for Best Youth Actor, while Charlotte Reyner & Georgina Dalgliesh were both nominated for Best Supporting Actress and  Ben Hughes was nominated for Best Supporting Actor.

Peter & Alex

An impressive set of awards from the 2013 Hale One-Act Play Festival.  ACT II took its production of Whodiddit and swept the Youth category. They won the ‘Best Youth Play’, John Banks won ‘Best Youth Director’ and Naaman Carr won ‘Best Youth Actor’. ACT I, with its production of Freydis and the Raiders,  also took a prize when Alex Swinton won the David Olive Award for ‘Most Promising Newcomer’.  Earlier in the month ACT II had already won  ‘Best Youth Play’ at the Wilmslow Festival.
